Summary
“Have you seen Osc? He said he’d be here.” Lando nearly yelled, trying to be heard over the music. Carlos shrugged, completely and utterly unhelpful. Carlos had been avid about the fact Lando should just be blunt with Oscar, many times, because clearly Oscar wasn’t getting that Lando had a dumb crush on him. Lando thought it was starting to grate on Carlos, and was trying to be better about talking about it.
This time Lando wasn’t deterred by Carlos’s slow growing indifference towards the subject—which wasn’t entirely true, Carlos was supportive but right now he definitely didn’t care because they were at a party—and his eyes scanned the crowd again.
No sight of Oscar.
Or: Lando has a crush on Oscar, but Oscar is completely oblivious. Carlos is at his wits end with Lando talking about it, for more reason than one, and Oscar really just thinks Lando is being friendly. Lando is getting desperate and confused.

“You don’t have to take care of me because you feel guilty.”

Or: max gives charles the flu, and ends up taking care of him while he’s sick. Charles realizes he enjoys having max around constantly, more so when he’s not trying to play nurse.

The guy stared at Lando a moment, blinking slowly. It was probably a lot to process after a nap, sure, but Lando desperately needed this dude’s brain to work faster.

Oscar only nodded, not paying him much mind as he walked towards the door of the hotel. He heard the door knob turn, jiggle, and release. Then that same thing again. And once more. “Lando?” Oscar asked, peering down the hall.
“The doors not opening.”
Oscar stared at Lando, and Lando stared at Oscar. “Ha-ha, very funny.” Oscar said dryly. Lando didn’t crack a smile, didn’t stifle a giggle, his face didn’t move at all.

Ray stood frozen. Brad paused too. He watched Brad’s face, trying to piece together his reaction. He couldn’t. Brad glanced around, looking a bit confused.
What does Ray even say? That he freaked and drove twenty something hours to get here? That he nearly folded and bought more Ripped Fuel? That the intense urge to see Brad was fast and sudden and stronger than whatever capacity he thought he needed Ripped Fuel? No. Definitely none of those things.
