Summary
“Anyway,” Zoro continued amid Sanji’s silence, “I’m not going to die.”
Sanji made a scoffing sound. “You can’t just decide that, asshole,” he said, tying off the thread. He trailed his fingertips over the jagged seam, checking for any imperfections. “You can’t cheat death.”
“We’ll see.”
To Sanji, Zoro is an enigma. An infuriating one, but one he is drawn to nonetheless. For as much self-assurance Zoro appears to have, Sanji has about as much self-doubt. If he can just understand what goes on inside that mossy head of his, maybe he can figure a few things out about himself as well.
Discovering that there might be something other than rivalry brewing between them, is something Sanji isn't quite prepared for.
(Rated M for explicit language, canon-typical violence and sexual content for later chapters).

Summary
“I don’t need to compare,” Sanji says hotly. “I already know mine’s bigger. It would be a waste of time.”
This is so obviously the reaction Zoro is looking for that it’s no surprise when he says, “Sounds to me like you’re scared, shit cook.”
“Like hell I am!” Sanji retorts, helpless to resist the heady rush of a challenge from Roronoa Zoro. Even when it’s one so orchestrated.

Summary
Short, unconnected Garashir stories. Variable in terms of tone and theme, which I’ll flag for each story.
In which Cardassians don’t bite, there is much to discuss after Garak’s attempted attack on the Founders’ home-world, and Julian is tired of being the smartest person in the room on a post-canon Cardassia.
In which Garak
winsloseshas a discussion with his bathroom mirror at 4am. Also in which Julian is suddenly called away to Medical and Garak contemplates the piece of his ““uniform”” that he left behind. In which Garak is not jealous. No, really.

Summary
Julian had always longed for adventure. More than that, he’d longed for a desperate adventure, the kind where all the odds were stacked against you, and every step was a struggle, and every breath a victory. He probably would have come to Cardassia even if he hadn’t missed Garak. He hoped that was true. He couldn’t touch it, really, couldn’t scrape the dust away from his thoughts enough to name it, but Garak was different.

“So, I’m to understand that you’re upset because — barring further daring heroics in the name of frontier medicine — you may only attain the average human lifespan?”
Julian inspects his own toes. “A bit, yes.”
After a moment, Garak says, conversationally: “The meteoric trajectory of your medical career may have to be compressed, I suppose. Carrington Award rescheduled for, what, forty-five or so? Admission to the Interplanetary Consortium of Physical Medicine bumped up to seventy? Now, don’t scoff, my dear Julian. If anyone can do it, it’s you.”
