Vi is standing in front of her, already dressed, with her arm outstretched holding out a jacket that says “lifeguard” on the back. It's the same red as the uniforms given out. Caitlyn blinks slowly at her, not understanding.
“For being my partner in the water. Also, you look cold as shit, no offense,” Vi explains, a small smile on her lips.
Caitlyn working at a water park to escape the pressures of her family should have been boring, not what catapults her into a summer romance that sweeps her off of her feet.
