Hong Lu cracks open his eyes and clearly tries to look at Heathcliff, but his gaze is distant and unfocused. When he exhales, it's uneven and burbling. Blood in his lungs, Heathcliff realises with alarm.
"Heathcliff," a woman's voice says, and startled, Heathcliff looks up. A white haired woman stands on the other side of Hong Lu. She looks down at them dispassionately. Something about her tickles a hazy memory, but Heathcliff doesn't know her. "Your emotional state is preventing the Mirror overlay from separating properly. You need to calm down."
Heathcliff doesn't know what that means, and he doesn't care. Doesn't she see that Hong Lu is dying? "I need to help him," he insists.

Heathcliff and Don Quixote make up the Thunderbolts⚡︎, the newest racing team in the most prestigious motorcycle competition: The Star Grand Prix. Throughout 20 races spread out over a year, Heathcliff struggles both with his own issues, and with taking down his greatest rival of the season: Jia Baoyu of Jia Racing.

Summary
Half an hour later, when the bus takes a sharp right turn, Heathcliff's body leans along with the force. His shoulder ends up pressed against Baoyu's arm, head following, falling limp against Baoyu's shoulders. Coarse dark hair tickles at Baoyu's neck. Baoyu glances down to make sure Heathcliff is secure enough that he won't slide forward and hurt himself, then looks back out at the passing scenery.
"Next time Clockhead leaves the room," Heathcliff mutters under his breath, which is the first indication Baoyu gets that he isn't asleep, "I'll nip in and nick my rifle."
Oh, dear.
Heathcliff gets stuck in a Mirror World ID. Hong Lu is not a very good babysitter.

Summary
If Hong Lu wanted to accompany him for part of his journey, so be it. Past the occasional annoyance, Heathcliff didn’t mind the company, and didn’t mind Hong Lu’s willingness to pay for whatever, whenever.
A walking bank, yes, that’s what he was. Nothing more, and nothing less.
A bounty, worth an unbelievable amount of money, is placed on Prince Jia Baoyu’s head. While Heathcliff works to find and kill the prince to claim his prize, Hong Lu joins him on his adventure.

Every now and then, not because he's trying on purpose or anything, Cheng Xiaoshi worries about what it'd mean to mess up the timeline - and by extension, everything that they've ever known. Like, what if they never met? For whatever reason, Lu Guang seems less concerned, which is pretty annoying.
... Except for when it isn't. Must be nice to be that certain of something, especially when 'something' is them.
in which Lu Guang always knows what's going on somehow, Cheng Xiaoshi hopes someone had a fun one night stand, and fate doesn't feel so scary if it leads to them two.
