Set immediately after the end of season 2. In which Young-il/In-ho is the Front Man, until he isn't. A tale of how his own guards betray In-ho, but he's too focused on redeeming himself and trying to win Gi-hun back to care. Pining, slow burn and redemption mixed with doubt and a lot of angst.

He took his phone out and scrolled a bit in his camera rolls to find an old photo of him.
"That's him." Jun-ho said as he handed the phone to Gi-hun.
Gi-hun analysed the photo of the man, it was noticeably old, but he didn't look like a bad guy, he was objectively good looking too.
"He is the frontman."
There goes his morally correct opinion. Now the photo suddenly looked darker, the man in the photo looked absolutely wicked and Gi-hun could swear he was getting uglier by the second.
"How did you find out?"

Please take care of her. Please don’t ever tell her what I did for her. And please, please don’t forget me, even if you leave me to die right now.
Young-il’s mouth ticks down halfway to a scowl, and Gi-hun holds the baby higher. His arms shake with the effort and his balance on his knees wavers. You have to, he tries to communicate wordlessly. She’s a winner. You have to save her.
But Young-il doesn’t take her. Instead, he circles around to Gi-hun’s side and, without warning, pulls him to his feet.//

“What if I don’t like it?” The deep voice of the other man murmurs, cutting off Gi-hun’s movements midway.
Gi-hun hums, thinking for a moment until something makes his gaze twinkle with a hint of mischief.
“You won’t have to pay for it, and I’ll even give you a drink of your choice instead,” he says, resuming his movements. “But if you like it…” Gi-hun continues with a smirk, letting the words hang in the air as he grabs the mixing glass and starts shaking it. “You pay for it.” A brief pause, and his eyes gleam with a mischievous light, locking onto the other man’s. “Double.”
The same spark ignites in the other man, mirroring the smirk playing on Gi-hun’s lips.
“Deal,” he replies, and Gi-hun lets out a quiet laugh.

Summary
The plan was simple. Get inside Gi-hun's Pink Motel, gather the money, erase any sign of his coming, and leave without a trace. Then, he'd board a plane and deliver all that Gi-hun had left behind to his daughter.
How could In-ho have known though, that taking this money would be conscidered a punishable offense to the dead, that resulted in Gi-hun's summoning. Now stuck with a ghost from his past, In-ho has to bring Gi-hun back his peace of mind, otherwise he'll stay here on Earth with him. Forever.
Or,
Ghost Gi-hun and alive but destitue Frontman In-ho with a hint of season3 fix it, giving the characters what they deserved (a proper reveal, Hwang bro reunion, the take down of the Games, and non-traumatic closure given to a 13 year old by not handing her a bloody jacket, millions of dollars, telling her her dad is dead and ditching. And ofc Inhun pining and falling in love in their very unique disastrously romantic way)
