Summary
In 1939 Britain is on the brink of the Second World War.
Young Mieczyslaw Stilinksi is evacuated to a small country village where he is placed with Derek Hale, a distant man who has kept to himself ever since he lost his family as a child and his sister died in childbirth some years before.
A sad and withdrawn child, Mieczyslaw is at first frightened of the blunt and withdrawn man, but gradually becomes accustomed to his gruff manner and begins to thrive under the surprisingly gentle and nurturing care of "Mister Derek". As a special bond of friendship grows between them, he gains self confidence, makes new friends and discovers hidden talents, while Derek slowly allows himself to be drawn back into community life.
Then, quite suddenly, their happiness is shattered when Stiles receives a summons from his mother to return immediately to Blitz-torn London...

Dean’s enjoying his life. He’s finally going head baker and manager of his bakery, Glazed and Confused; he and Sam are getting along with their half-brother Adam, and his Baby is running just fine.
However, after accidentally missing an interview with local radio station Sweet Heaven, Dean's business is at risk once show host Emmanuel starts to question Dean’s character on-air. Even worse, every time Dean tries to call and apologize, the two end up bickering instead, and their arguments are always broadcasted by the station’s annoying owner, Gabriel, in an attempt to boost ratings (or simply because he's a dick).
Between managing his business, publicly arguing with the stubborn and frustrating Emmanuel, and dealing with his developing feelings for the charming blue-eyed Castiel that he meets at Adam’s engagement dinner, Dean’s life could not get more complicated.
