Summary
Dream-walking was not something he always intended. It was a space he occasionally stumbled into. Once, this had been a skill honed for a far darker purpose. He had been forced to seek out the dreams of his masters’ enemies, to devour them. The damage wrought by consuming a dream was beyond repair. It left an indelible scar upon the soul, a mark that might never fade. Xiao had sworn to himself, many lifetimes ago, that he would never again taste the delicate fabric of another dream. But that vow didn’t mean he couldn’t indulge in the quiet solace of mere observation. To slip briefly into what it had once been like, to know peace, and invisibly spectate others' happiness.
OR: Xiao stumbled into Venti's dreams, and slowly, he falls in love.

"You... want me to learn to read Inazuman?"
"Tch, I'm not asking you to do anything. I'm just saying if you want to read my notes you're gonna have to figure it out yourself."
"Well, in that case, you know I've never been one to disappoint."°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・
After catching Wanderer writing in an unknown language, Sethos makes it his goal to learn how to read and write it as a surprise to his boyfriend.
Apparently though, identifying the language may be a bit tougher than first assumed.

“Why did I give up being a healer?” Jiaoqiu repeats Moze's question. "There seems to be a misunderstanding. I haven’t given up on it. I still treat you and the General with my meals every day. Cooking is medicine, and making medicine is cooking.”
“Hmph,” Moze grunts. What a ridiculous notion. Medicine is medicine. Food is food. "That's not an answer."
Jiaoqiu measures his next words for a good while. "Well, when I was young, becoming a healer was the most natural thing to choose, to keep up the family legacy," he says, smiling faintly at Moze. "Perfectly respectable, too, for an omega son in my family. Though my father was less than thrilled when I used it to join the military.”
Omega. The foreign word makes Moze frown.

Or, after Moze starts his new life on the Yaoqing, he learns many things about the foxians in general—and Jiaoqiu especially. -

Summary
Forced to retire early from the military after a bullet to the hip leaves him unfit for duty, Jing Yuan has to relearn his way around civilian life. Along with the change in rhythm, he finds himself thinking about things he'd long since thought dead and buried; like having a family, kids of his own. . .
But all this seems a distant dream, meant for someone younger, softer, someone who isn't battle-worn and weary like him. That is, until a familiar face from his past returns to shine a kinder light on Jing Yuan's future.

"Xiansheng, do you believe in 'forever?'"
"Forever?... The passage of time is unstoppable. What is your real question?"
"Us, Xiansheng. Do you believe in us? Forever?"
... ... ...
"What is the purpose of this, exactly?”
"To help you figure out who he is, of course." Hu Tao smiles at Zhongli cheerfully. "I've seen ghosties like this before. They're perfectly harmless, they just want to be acknowledged before they can pass on."
Somehow, harmless does not match the description of the hands that ran across Zhongli's face. They were deceptively gentle, just like his lips, which had stamped something upon Zhongli's soul that he doesn't think can be erased.
