In Vstrid’s defense, he was tired.
It’s a lame excuse, and he knows it. But what else is he supposed to say? That he was just so consumed by fury, desperate to do anything that could release him from the emotional turmoil, that he did it without even thinking?
He does not want to explain it at all.
It doesn’t matter anyway. All he can do now is stand in silence, mind spinning from exhaustion he’s only now truly aware of, and stare at the consequences of what he’s done.
