The first few days went fine. Ex stayed in his hovel, sewing an evil cloak. Then, he started to get bored. And not the normal sort of boredom, no — he was stuck with the kind that wormed its way under his skin and screamed that it needed noise, needed something more than the couple of rooms Ex had been moving between. And so, foolishly, he left. He made his way through the shopping district, slightly unnerved by the lack of sound. Usually, even late at night he could hear the sound of blocks being placed or fireworks firing. But today, there was nothing. At least — there was nothing until he made it to the Nether portal. He turned the corner to find a conglomeration of Hermits standing in front of a single person, a stranger who was standing on top of the Nether portal. They were saying something, but trailed off when they saw him.
“Ah — there you are! Our last missing player. I do hope you won’t cause as much trouble as the others — someone here has to have some sense.”
“Who are you?” Ex asked, taking measured steps to approach the portal.
“I’m Jeff — your new leader. I’ll be taking the reins here, and running this pathetic place from now on.”

He startled when he turned and saw another person. Xisuma was sitting across the room, glaring at him. Ex’s eyes narrowed, searching his armourless form until they finally caught onto the chain wrapped around X’s ankle. Alright — so not a ploy by Xisuma either? Maybe this was a plot against Hermitcraft, then. That would explain why they had him, though it wouldn’t explain why they’d bothered to grab Ex from a different location. …maybe they thought he’d be a pressure point — a weakness that would make Xisuma consider betraying his people. He almost laughed at the idea — if that was their plan, they were about to be sorely disappointed. Some of his amusement must’ve shown on his face, because the last bit of curiosity Xisuma’s held had quickly soured.
“So, what’s the plan here?” He asked, leaning back, his chained leg tucked beneath him. The rest of his body screamed of casualty — though Ex wasn’t quite sure if it was real.
“Hm?” He glanced around. “Well, looks like your average kidnapping to me.” They shrugged, tugging on their chains.
Xisuma just chuckled.

A man walked out, he took hesitant steps between him limping- As if he was dragging a body.
Well, technically he was. Ze was silent, he held no expression- He didn't feel like himself anymore. Distant, not present- So yes, Ze was dragging a body. It was just his own.

Eyes flying open, heart pounding, breath rapid and heavy--Ze shoots up in bed.
Looking around wildly, head swinging left and right, Ze found it dark. He was still in his room; his guns perched on their respective wall; clothing hamper in the corner with dirty laundry he'd been holding off; the picture of his little misfit family on his nightstand... nothing out of the ordinary.
So why did something feel wrong?
Lightly setting his feet onto the floor, careful to not be too loud--He'd hate to wake Moe--the protagonist stood and made his way to the door, creaking it open slowly; he was met with an empty, eerily quiet hallway.
