He had to give his dad credit: his ability to not visibly react to shocking news was exemplary.
Draco blinked, eyes narrowing slightly and then flitting over Scorpius features. Scorpius had taken after the Malfoy line more than the Granger, his hair and eyes and stature a dead match for his dad’s (though he’d been lucky to scrape a few extra melanin genes from his mum). He smiled politely, awaiting his verdict.
“But you’re…” Draco tilted his head. “My age.”
“Ah, right.” Scorpius took a few steps closer, reeling up the Time Turner so it swung innocently in the air between them. “Turns out these are trickier to calibrate than I thought.”

The job was supposed to be an easy one. Get in, swipe the shipping itinerary, get out. Knowing exactly what kinds of weapons the Benedettis were bringing into play would be beneficial for both the family and their clientele, so despite how easy it was going to be Harley knew it was an important heist. He and Peter had been assigned to it for that very reason. Both of them were small, nimble, light on their feet and easy to miss. They had grown up on the streets doing this exact type of thing for years. It was right up their alley.
Black Widow had ensured they had all the information they needed - security systems, guard shifts, the works - and between himself and Peter, they had ensured that the plan was flawless.
Or it should have been. It was supposed to be.

It wasn't supposed to go like this. It wasn't. Peter wasn't even on patrol, and Harley had only tagged along with him to the corner store on a last-minute whim. The robbery at the bank across the street had come out of nowhere, and of course - of course - Harley had shoved him away to don his mask and go save the day. Peter had kept things under control until the cops got there, had kept the hostages shielded from potential bullets, had done everything right.
Almost everything.
Because now Peter was on his knees in a back alley with his hands pressed firmly to the bullet wound in Harley's chest, the one stray shot that got away in the chaos.
"...Peter?" Harley asked, his voice low and hoarse and beginning to fill with a baffled sort of dread. "What th' hell did you just do?"
"You said not everyone had super healing," Peter told him, as if nothing else made sense but this. "But I've got it running through my veins." He smiled, a shaky and lopsided sort of thing. He shrugged. "Oops."
OR: When Harley gets hit by a stray bullet during a bank robbery, Peter takes a calculated risk to save his brother's life.

Some secrets are absolutely worth mothball inhalation and potential dignity extinction, especially when your GPA is hanging by a thread thinner than spider silk. Mr. Tucker has IDEAS (all-caps, multiple exclamation points), Tony Stark has surveillance literally EVERYWHERE (seriously, WHY???), and the universe's only actual constant isn't gravity—it's the mathematical certainty of teenage humiliation finding you exactly when you think you're safe.
(Or: How Peter Parker learned fighting the Vulture was less traumatizing than dancing, Tony Stark's blackmail archives grew exponentially, and Harley Keener discovered his sister's HSM obsession was finally, tragically useful.
