Summary
Choi San lives his life carefully. He takes care of those around him in any way he can – making them laugh, wiping their tears, buying them takeout – and keeps his worries about himself below the surface. He has his own routines that keep him healthy and spends enough time with his friends and family to be fulfilled. Sometimes, though, this isn’t enough. San loves his careful life, but he isn’t immune to the same stress and exhaustion that he helps to alleviate from others. When these emotions build to a level he can't control, it becomes clear that he can't deal with them on his own.

“Too fast,” Ilya says. “My English… not good.”
“Sorry,” Shane mumbles into Ilya’s hand. Ilya grins and shakes his head, curls dancing, as he pulls his hand away.

This year marks thirteen year Shane Hollander's third summer at Coach Marakov's elite hockey training camp. In attendance for the first time: Ilya Rozanov, visiting from Russia. Shane isn't the most sociable, and Ilya's English isn't the greatest, yet the unlikely duo soon become the best of friends.
It's just one summer, but it makes a world of difference.
