Joshua was six when his father said this. He nodded. Said he understood, despite perhaps not entirely knowing the full scope of what might happen in their lives.

Billy Batson never really took much care in hiding his identity beyond just never alluding that he and Captain Marvel were one in the same. After all, no one's noticed him transform. Not even when he shouted SHAZAM right in front of the Justice League.
Or I've been reading Golden Age comics and Billy just transforms in the wildest of situations and no one ever notices. People will literally have their hands on him and they won't notice. Other people need to bask in this absurdity.
