Zevran has been away from Ferelden and its most important inhabitant for, by his estimation, two hundred and forty-nine days, most of those spent traveling in highly inhospitable climes. He feels each and every one of those two hundred and forty-nine days in the ache of his feet and the accumulated road dust that's settled deep in the seams of his pack, a sort of exhaustion that doesn't even lessen when the end of his journey is in sight.
So, naturally, the first thing he does upon returning to Denerim is the most sensible thing he could possibly do: he scales the palace walls.
