Summary
When a strange eluvian manifests in the Crossroads, two Rooks catch a glimpse of how things might have been different.
“What,” Jackdaw balances on the tension stretching between them like a high wire, “is going on here?”
“Why don’t you tell me,” Addie points her dagger at the Fang, “seeing as you have that?”
“You seem to know a great deal about it.”

Summary
When her childhood friend fails to appear at her thesis defense, Vanthi and Lucanis return to the Lighthouse to find what's become of her.
“We’ll find her,” he murmurs. Vanthi swallows. Nods.
“Of course. It’s so easy to lose time here— she’s probably upstairs, in a sea of research notes. Happened to us all the time as apprentices.”
But Rosamund isn’t upstairs.

Summary
Before House Cantori can make their play for Seventh Talon, Teia needs one more thing: her Spellblade.
She bears no grudge for that. Orders were given, and she carried them out willingly— eagerly, even, for the light it sparked in Teia’s eyes. But this—
This means something else.
Teia lifts the weapon, blade against palm, and holds it out, hilt-first. “Come with me,” she says. A simple invitation. “In this, be mine.”

Summary
“Rosa was here the other day, did you know?” And there is— a bite to her words. Of course he didn’t know, but now he does, because there is no one else who steals his shirts and wears them about all of Antiva as if she has rights to every piece of him.
“And she what,” he musters a bit of dignity, even as Teia laughs quietly above them, “walked back across Treviso, half-naked?”
“You say that as though you don’t think she would.”
No one teases like the Crows of House Cantori; no one suffers them like Viago de Riva.

Summary
In theory, Vero Solano is living every hockey-obsessed kid’s dream. After surviving a string of hazing incidents, they’ve clawed their way to the Show – the Thedas Hockey League. When Vero is traded mid-season to the Antiva City Crows, they’re preceded by their reputation as a stand-offish loner who prefers anonymous hookups off the ice to team bonding. To everyone’s surprise – including and especially their own – they soon find themself connecting with Viago de Riva, the Crows’ enigmatic goaltender whose on-ice brilliance has earned him respect despite his own eccentricities.
A 14-year THL veteran and the cornerstone of the franchise, Viago has spent his entire career barely tolerating his teammates. Still, there’s something about Vero’s careful detachment that’s entirely too familiar. Despite his misgivings, he finds himself offering the Crows' newest defense player post-practice advice that quickly evolves into something that looks dangerously like friendship – and maybe more.

Summary
“Sorry,” Vic said quickly. “I thought -” She stopped. “It was just... a very clean kill.”
…Surely he understood that, right? From the number of people she now had an intimate awareness of, even from her brief ten-month stint as the disgraced sellsword of House de Riva, Vic knew that the majority of Crows shared this sentiment, at least. Killing people felt good. Sometimes, victory just felt good, and it made you want to make other people feel good, or perhaps selfishly push yourself from good into phenomenal-
--
After a misread heated moment, and a disastrous first kiss that never should've happened, Vic more than gets the message: Lucanis Dellamorte isn't interested.Which is fine. Plenty of people are.
[multichap fic, that's basically me writing a more consistent romance narrative for Lucanis and this particular Rook.]

Summary
For a moment, Lucanis thought she was still asleep—caught in the memories of other bodies in her bed—but the twist of her spine to draw herself closer to him could not be anything but intentional.
“Lucanis,” she sighed, guiding his hand up to the warm space just beneath her breasts. “It’s so early.”
Her head tipped back, rolling to flash him bright, brilliant eyes as her lips parted in a warm sigh. His brows knit as Teia’s liquid spine rolled against him, the brush of her heel against his calf, the nudge of her—of her against his hips.
Something was wrong
(AKA: Lucanis and Teia pretend to fuck to distract guards, and then actually fuck. Viago gives them cover, and watches.)

Summary
Bellara stares wide-eyed at Rook. “So, they call you the cuckoo because…”
“Oh, I didn’t kill anyone!” Rook amends, then laughs at herself. “No, not true, I absolutely did. But not other Crows. No, cuckoo’s just a good nickname.”
~
Rook's never really belonged in the Crows. Does the end of the world care about belonging? Not really.

Summary
A year and a half before the events of Veilguard, Varric, Harding, and Rook take a detour in Treviso.
—
Lightning, hot and consuming, shoots down Lucanis’s spine. His name, whispered from those lips with the barest touch to his ear. He just might die like this. His hand, the one that’s not resting dangerously low on her waist, the one that holds her more respectfully, clenches into a fist— a futile effort to steady himself.
Rook’s hand, the one not over his heart, trails across his shoulders, leaving flames in their wake. Long, long fingers threading under his hair on the back of his neck, thumb at his jaw. Another thought flashes: the feeling of those silk gloves against his skin, tracing his face as he drowns in her exquisite taste. Her, lips shaping his name just like that murmur in his ear, again and again and again—
“Do you like it when I say your name,” she presses her lips closer, dragging against his ear, nose in his hair. “Lucanis?”
