Summary
Suga remembered how his eyes volleyed between Daichi’s face and body and his own. Like a ping pong match. Like the Old Spice commercials. Look at your man; now look at me. The mirror loved Daichi, his tameable, thick hair, powerful biceps, sharp jawline already filling in with a hint of five o’clock shadow, despite such youth.
God, Daichi needed to shave. What must that be like? And here was Suga, a fuzzy-haired and petite toddler with the muscular density of a pipe cleaner and ill-fitting shorts held up by a fraying drawstring. How are we possibly the same age?
“How’s it going?” Daichi offered, the first time their eyes met.
“Uh,” Suga replied, eloquently.
In which a lovestruck Suga haphazardly stumbles through the locker room and into the top of the ninth inning with the game (and his remaining high school career with Daichi) on the line

“More than a friend?” Diachi chuckles as he gets both of the mugs ready for the tea. “After we beat Shiratorizawa we had a celebration with the team and some friends at Suga’s. We had gone outside with Asahi to talk, but he got held up by Noya so it was just the two of us and he kissed me. After that it was pretty hard to deny that there was anything there. So, I asked him on a date, and then another and another and then he told me to ask him to be my boyfriend already, and punched me in the arm.”

Daichi wasn't sure how it had all gone wrong. All he knew was that he was now stuck in a tiny cabin in a snowstorm with the man that he had fallen for years ago, a man who didn't know how he felt and had grown increasingly distant over their first few months in separate universities. He wasn't sure how it had come to this, he just wished he could get Suga to smile at him one more time.
