When Akagi takes a water break, he turns around and accidentally makes eye contact through the net, too fast for Gin to look away. Akagi smiles and gives him a little wave. Gin’s heart skips the same beat it’s been skipping for the past two years.
It’s not that Gin’s always had a specific crush; he just likes to watch him at practice, that’s all. But as blood surges dizzyingly towards his cheeks, he realizes that he might miss Akagi Michinari a little bit extra.
