Summary
An evil once sealed away by the trolls has returned, and now it can walk in the light as they cannot. When the one way to banish it is with magic known only to the trolls, there is just one person they can turn to. He was not at all prepared for that.
Kristoff is bad at magic, Anna is even more stubborn now that they're married, and the only hope for defeating this returning evil is in the hands of people not used to being the center of prophecies, and not necessarily happy about it.

Simon had no choice but to try adjusting to life as a vampire, but at least his mentor/leader wasn't so terrible (and maybe just the slightest bit attractive but you would never hear him say that).
Raphael had promised the shadowhunter girl that he'd look after Simon and that was what he planned to do. He never planned to actually become fond of the idiota (not that he would ever admit that).

Simon mulled it over before answering with ‘I’ll check with dad’, which earned him an unexpected call at 3 in the morning. ‘You call Raphael dad?’ Clary shrieked through the phone, adorably sleepy and at the same time ridiculously hysterical.
“Pssh no!" Simon said after laughing down the line for several seconds. "Lily is my dad.”~
The story follows Simon's new life with the clan after Camille has been sent to Idris. It includes music, clan shenanigans, reconciliation, love and comfort, a couple of serious conversations, Spanish telenovelas, werewolves, flirting and wooing with office supplies, protective Simon, protective Raphael, protective clan - everyone is quite protective, really - and a growing pile of original characters who don't appear all that often but are mentioned frequently because it's a huge clan and I can't keep using the same three people for everything, alright?
This is a slice of life rom-com sprinkled with insecurity issues and personal growth. A fluffy, feel-good slow-burn with Raphael being his usual gloriously irritating self and Simon being denser than a brick wall. So what if he doesn't realize they have been sort of dating for a while? It happens!

Alistair Theirin has gone from fighting darkspawn to fighting a wicked case of Imposter Syndrome. When he meets Genevieve in the Inquisition's kitchens, he is enraptured by the magic things she can do with cheese. So enraptured, that he perhaps forgets to mention he is a king.
This story features cheese, Venatori plots, crushes, stupidity, food puns, and descriptions of decadent dishes by a very hungry author.
