That’s it? What an understatement. What a ground-shaking, life-altering understatement. What kind of reckless idiot can just say something like that with so much tangible certainty?
Keith’s expression slowly softens as he watches Lance struggle. An amused tick curls at the corner of his mouth and he leans back comfortably in the chair by the bed, seemingly relaxed now that he had unloaded all of his thoughts in one fell swoop. He’s unaffected by his own words as all else and Lance can’t help but wonder how long he’s been holding onto them.

“That’s him, right? That’s gotta be?”
“It has to,” Keith agrees, “I thought he might’ve died by now."
“If there’s anyone to manage surviving alone in an infinite universe off of dumb luck for two entire years, it’s Lance,” Pidge replies, something soft in her grin.
They go with hope filling their chests, eyes bright and determination clear. Because he left; because he's been gone.
And when the lead is as dead as they've all been, Sol asks, “is it worth looking?”
Keith looks to him a moment, and shakes his head. Because Sol stays and Lance goes, and maybe…
Maybe Keith can live with that, now.

Lance stopped listening a long time ago. Something about his attention span constantly wandering to Keith beside him whenever he brushes his thumb across Lance’s knuckles or presses his foot against Lance’s. It’s the consistent contact that distracts him. He loves it.
“Please explain again what the issue is here?” Keith asks, directing a pointed glare towards the strangers.
The man across from them rubs his temple. He called himself Shiro earlier and that certainly didn’t ring any bells in Lance’s head. His recognition remains blank.
“I’m not saying you two can’t hold hands. It’s just—”
“This is going to be great blackmail material for when you regain your memories.”

“He’s here, isn’t he?” Rachel shrugs. She already starts to walk back into the chaos but not before throwing one last look over her shoulder to say, “Pretty obvious to all of us.”

“When the hell did Lance get married—who the hell did he marry?”
“Pidge,” Hunk stops their ramblings and Keith has never been more grateful. “I think that one is obvious.”

“Hit me with the good news, Pidgey!” Lance cheers, dropping his chin on both of his hands as he stares at Pidge through the glass. His friend rolls her eyes in exasperation before she lazily clicks the right button from her end and speaks.
“Well, Blue Paladin,” she says slowly through the speaker, “I’m actually quite pleased to announce that you’re still below Red.”
“What? How come Mullet has more audience than me? I literally have the busiest hour of the day.” Lance scoffs, throwing his hand in the air in annoyance as he starts to pace around the booth. “What does he has that I don’t?”
“Uh, good content, for one?”
Lance snaps his head back to the main cabin where instead of just Pidge, he sees now two figures standing behind the glass. Both of them grinning at him smugly. Assholes.
“Oh, bite me, Mullet!”
[Or the one where the team has their own radio show inside their college campus and the Laith tag on Twitter slowly turns into a trend whenLance and Keith start flirting thinking the other doesn't mean it. Miscommunication at its best.]
