«What are we? Fourteen? You should know summer flings never last», Felix giggled, then sighed and thought to himself that he might as well just say it all, get it off his chest so that he didn’t have loose ends to go back to. «I will never give up on my life, not for you, not for anything», he stated, and, to a less brave person, those words would have hurt, but Felix, much to his chagrin, knew the other understood him deeply.

Lee Felix and Bahng Christopher first meet in Las Vegas, United States, and, despite knowing it will never end well, they can't seem to get enough of each other. Summer is fickle, short, but they make do with what they have, with what they can give, until it's time to return home, no strings attached or loose ends.

Seeing that Chan isn’t refusing it, isn’t refusing him, but only staring at him with his ears on fire and his mouth slightly agape, like he doesn’t believe what he’s seeing, Felix proceeds to smugly type his number into his phone, not bothering to hide it one bit, and saving his contact information as ‘Chan (Hazel’s dad)’.

Felix would never dare to be as pretentious and egocentric as to say he was born to be put on a pedestal and admired, but he had started to harbor from a very young age the idea that all he wanted to be was someone whose only purpose was to stand by their husband’s side, to be praised and marveled at, to be source of vaunt. It was common knowledge as to where those gentlemen in possession of good fortune and in need of a partner to flaunt could be found and country clubs were, certainly, on top of the list.

This had such an impact on me it took me a month to finish the last couple of chapters because I just didn’t want it to go. It was such a wild ride and I enjoyed it so much (particularly the part where Katsuki chases Izuku but can you blame me for being a freak??), so so so much I don’t even have words. Everything was beautifully crafted, everyone got what they deserved. Masterpiece of masterpieces.

this fic literally tore me apart and sewn me back together omg (reference intended because at some point I did feel like by throat was left bleeding open by the lump in it),
If I have to be honest, I so wish this was canon, mostly because I've always felt strangely odd how jun wu didn't really use hua cheng's clear affection and devotion for his god against xie lian, so this quite put me at ease on that side lol. -
