Summary
Dennis takes a deep breath, then finally picks up the call. “Hey, ma.”
“Hi, duck.” His mother’s voice washes over him and he feels an embarrassing heat rushing up the back of his eyeballs. He hasn’t heard her voice in months. Hadn’t realised how badly he had missed it. Dennis has to swallow around a lump in his throat before he can speak.
“Hi. I- is something wrong?”
“No - well,” she trails off, then goes on, hesitant. “Susan Bradshaw told me there was a shooting in Pittsburgh?”

He takes a long, slow breath. Ignores the glares from the other students. “Superboy,” he murmurs. “It’s me. If you’re listening, I could use some help.”

Summary
Flying back to Cherry Street, weaving reckless in the dark, it comes down to this: Dick is the only one of his siblings that Jason has any real claim on. Dick is the only one of that whole mess of victims to Batman's cult of self-immolation who belongs to Jason. Even more than that - Dick is the only person in the world who he shares a parent with, who knows what it meant to be the Robin to Batman of nearly ten years ago.
It's just not the same anymore.
So if Dick fucking kicks it, Jason's the only one left. Jason becomes an only child. Jason becomes the last of his kind. Jason becomes the sole keeper of that memory, of a brotherhood shared under a man who no longer exists. There is no way to replace Dick, because the world that they lived in together is gone, and can never give Jason a surrogate.
The Red Hood pulls the thread on a mystery big enough to bridge the distance between two cities, two brothers: The plot they unravel is far deeper and darker than a garden-variety drug trafficking scheme. A story about siblingship, hauntings, and rivers.
1. Ostium, osti(i): Latin noun, II Declension: Door, opening; (river) mouth; entrance (to the underworld).

Summary
Damian pulls out his phone and dials Richard’s number- his chauffeur has been unfortunately painstakingly instructed to answer no calls whatsoever from Damian, and Alfred has begun to pretend that phones do not exist during school hours. Unsurprisingly, as it is eight in the morning, it goes to voicemail. Damian waits impatiently for the beep. “Richard,” he says, in tones of the deeply suffering, “this place is a hostile environment. I must be collected post-haste, as after this latest indignity I am dropping out. Come at once, or I may die here.”
The dynamic duo attend a parent-teacher conference. No one has a good day.

Summary
Dick slips back into bed with Wally, and he can’t help but pause for a moment, hand by Wally’s head, propping him up as he looks down. He can barely see him in the dark. Pale eyes, the suggestion of a mouth, vague smudges for eyebrows. His throat works as he swallows. He lets Dick ghost the back of his other hand along his jaw, the stubble scratching at his knuckles. His hand pauses on Wally’s cheek and chin, near to the corner of his lips.
Sometimes he feels things he can’t bear to think. Can’t say. Can’t put a name to. Can’t want. His heart hits hard against his ribs. He can feel it all the way in his fingertips, rumbling loud in his ears. Wally’s still looking up at him. Dick can’t make out his expression in the gloom. Something is blooming in his stomach. It could be easy. He wants it.
He leans down and kisses Wally, chaste, not even half on the mouth. Doesn’t think about it. Wally sucks in a sharp breath, grabs his wet hair with both hands, fingertips sliding along his scalp, pulling him back in.
