Summary
Peter’s gotten used to Gotham by now. The thousand little sounds that build up to the cacophony of a city in controlled chaos. But it isn’t home, and it never will be, and the more time passes, the more that thought makes him twitch. He’s frustrated by it, annoyed that he feels like he’s forcing his way through a world that doesn’t belong to him. Worse, the Soul Stone is starting to become more and more of an issue. As if it senses something coming.
Tony's last words had been 'the threat always comes back.' Thanos won't be thwarted forever, only delayed. Eventually, he's going to hunt down the stray Soul Stone that Peter holds.
The Bats have a few opinions on that. The Avengers that have fallen into this other world have a few of their own. And there's the problem of Dr. Strange's letter...

Summary
It made her feel strong and trusted when Batman asked her to protect Gotham while he chased Mr. Freeze and Scarecrow to Hong Kong. ("The League took a vote," Tim had told her while he, Dick, and Alfred were preparing to go with Bruce. "They decided that Gotham villains are Batman's responsibly even if they aren't in Gotham. Especially when the villains team up.”) Now she feels bored.
When everyone else is occupied, Cass is left alone to protect Gotham. Between juggling trying out having a childhood, grieving Steph, and keeping the manor in order, she has a lot on her plate. A journalist trying to figure out who's living at Wayne Manor while Bruce is away and a trigger-happy rising crime lord don't help matters.

He's not Batman's partner—hasn't been for years. He's not a Titan either. He's just... Dick Grayson, and he's starting to think that might not be enough.
OR
Cass moves to Blüdhaven to escape Steph's ghost and somehow adopts a depressed acrobat. Dick's life just fell apart but he's still out here teaching basic life skills and that your entire personality can't just be "fights crime." Unsurprisingly, this doesn't stop either of them from being absolute disasters.
