Euijoo strengthens his hold on the carrier, readjusts the jacket and hides a wince as he peels himself off of the brick wall, and when the other reopens his eyes, something in him awakens.
"There is nothing else I'd rather not do."

He was exhausted. He was tired of being the only one trying to make things work, or at least a bit less awkward and ill fitting, and he was done with feeling like an unknown and unwanted source in their barely shared home.
So, two years into their arrangement, their marriage, and nearly two and a half years since he lost his parents and his brother to an unchangeable tragedy, Riki asks Jake for a divorce. As soon as the older stepped in past their entryway, and as he avoided his eye contact for the hundredth time.
He was done with feeling abandoned, and tired of being alone.

There are footsteps making their way over to their table before Sunoo can get another word in, and as soon as calloused fingertips slide their way down the slant of Jake's left and unclothed bicep, he immediately knows that it's Heeseung. And when warmth accumulates on his right, and as soon as weight is gently pressed into his side and pale fingers are straightening his glasses and tucking his strands behind his ear delicately, he knows it's Sunghoon.
Sunoo's sending him an incredulous look and then he just sighs, before collecting his own items after realizing that them finishing up their joint study session is a lost cause. He pauses and rests his hip on the side of the table to give them all a sardonic smile, and then looks down at his sheepish best friend. "You'll still be loved all the same."

Summary
Wooyoung's head snaps up at the sound, and the pain in his chest only worsens as he realizes that the sound has come from San. The wide and open eyes he had just been looking at are now almost so black, his whites have nearly disappeared. He no longer looks like a man, or a vampire. He looks like an animal. Shaking in his seat like he's barely able to hold himself back, and Wooyoung feels true fear for the first time in years.
It isn't like the type of fear he feels when he walks into a crowded room, or the lingering fear from his trauma, when he notices a group of vampires resting near him. This feels inadequate to an extent in which Wooyoung cannot compare anything to. Because the man who had been looking at him just moments before in awe, is now looking at him like he can't recognize him, and it's even more painful than the fear he'd felt at the possibility of being rejected earlier.
So Wooyoung does what he knows best. He looks around and takes in everybody else's tension, realizes that he's the root cause behind all of the chaos, and then he flees.
He'll never be truly safe, and he'll never be accepted, even by a creature from the same line of monster that once attacked him, and scarred him for good.

"It'd all be obvious if he'd just take my damn advice and do a grand gesture," Riki mutters under his breath with a roll of his eyes, and he smiles innocently when Jungwon looks over at him curiously. "Nothing," he reassures him, and slightly squeezes his hand. "He's over the moon about you, and he probably dyed his hair purple to get your attention anyway."
Jungwon's lips raise at the blatant conversation shift, and he can't help but laugh at the way his best friend groans and throws himself back after his response. "It isn't purple, it's lavender."
"Down so bad it's disgusting to be around," Riki gravels, suddenly sounding much older. "The both of you."

Megumi was his ace card.
If someone as strong as Gojo saw Megumi as a person worthy enough to stand by him in equal strength, then Megumi had to work hard to catch up. He couldn’t get left behind. He didn’t expect to improve drastically overnight, he was aware this was gonna take a lot of time, hard work and effort, but those were all things he was willing to put in.
A new motivation was sparked in him, a goal only he could do. If Gojo saw something special in him that only he could help the man with, he needed to prove himself, because this seemed like something no one else could replace.

Suguru dead-eyes him across the table.
“Please listen to me, man.” Satoru says.
“No.” Suguru responds in that long suffering way that means he’s going to listen to Satoru but he’s gonna be pissy about it first. “It’s, fucking, 7AM.” Suguru adds. Suguru is not a morning person. It’s why Satoru went and bought the fancy coffee Suguru likes and breakfast sandwiches and red bean buns. He had to go to the bakery across town to get those.
“It’s so important.” Satoru tells him.
“Your opening gambit at 7-fucking-AM was ‘say I’ve gotten into anal play lately, why do I leak cum before I cum?’” Suguru says with a glare.
“Yeah.” Satoru says.
Suguru glares even harder.
“Well, you could answer me at least.” Satoru huffs, crossing his arms over his chest.
“I hope you fall off a bridge and die.” Suguru tells him, but he’s unwrapping a breakfast sandwich and pulling the lid off one of the cups of coffee, so.
“I hope you do too.” Satoru says amicably, taking a seat. He pushes some napkins toward Suguru and switches out the breakfast sandwich. Suguru likes the ones with avocado better. “So why do I?”
