Summary
Clark felt a heat in his belly that he felt very rarely. In fact, the last time he felt it had to have been over nine months ago. The sensation was warm, fuzzy, and somehow dangerous around the edges. It prickled like a sparkler or the zap of an electric fence, and because of this, he tended to avoid it as soon as it turned up. Those two things couldn't hurt him, but this feeling… This feeling could. At least, it had before.
But maybe it was different this time. It had to have been. Maybe some sort of unattended admiration that had been brewing for the other man finally boiled over. He nodded internally. That had to be it, because it couldn't be that—

Valentine's Day is in a month, and Clark gets assigned to a story about Gotham's most eligible bachelor, Bruce Wayne, which is a perfect cover for him to figure out if he's Batman or not. Things get... Well, things get complicated.

“Fuck!” Fak yelled. His voice was muffled by Richie’s palm and he felt his mustache and lips brush against his fingers.
The feeling was almost startling to Richie. He shuffled his feet on the rungs of the ladder and told himself the flustered feeling was just his anxiety over the mold and frustration colliding to create an odd feeling in his chest (and later that night if he pressed that same hand to his mouth and gave it a gentle kiss, well that was his own fucking business).

Summary
Finally a flicker of life emerges. Dani opens one eye. When he sees who's peering down at him the other one snaps open. His brows crumple up in confusion, "Jamie?" He asks.
Jamie nods, "We're going to be late." He says.
Dani hums and reaches a hand out to point at Jamie's thigh, "Why are you wearing trousers?" He asks.
Jamie feels his face heat. He lets out a dumb, "What?"
Dani grins at his flustered expression, "Hm, you never wear pants - trousers - to bed." His voice is still heavy with sleep, "Always leg." He mumbles, "So much leg." He yawns.

Or: Jamie and Dani are away match roomies, and one night they happen to fall asleep in the same bed. What happens once soon becomes a habit, and Jamie thinks that maybe he wants more than to just occasionally wake up in Dani's arms.

It's hard to keep a straight face at that.
Clark's lips curve into a fond smile as he chuckles and shakes his head, leaning back against his seat, a hand rubbing across the nape of his neck.
"Yeah. Maybe I have. The coffee's great here. And the company is really nice." Clark offers a smile as he meets Bruce's eyes, holding his gaze for a beat too long before returning it to his pie.
He doesn't miss the way Bruce's heart rate stutters at his comment.

Or, Clark Kent can't do one night stands, and Bruce is just his usual human disaster.(This story officially ends at Chapter 5.
