_________Shane comes out to Montreal during training camp after the summer at The Cottage. He does it before practice thinking he can just say it and it will be over. Rip off the band-aid. Private life is private no big deal.
Unfortunately for Shane, he doesn't know he's autistic and the "panic attacks" he thought he had under control were really autistic meltdowns from an overwhelmed nervous system.
When the tension in the locker room & practice creates a cascading effect in Shane's mind he experiences one of the worst episodes since childhood.

Honestly I shouldn't even post it here at all, since AO3 is complicit in LITERAL SEX TRAFFICKING and ABUSE by allowing just anyone to post whatever they want. But it's the best website for posting fic. What am I supposed to do, raise money to pay for servers and use AO3's entirely, 100% open source code to start a new site that upholds REAL MORALITY? Anyways here's my fanfic. If you comment on this fic with ANY NEGATIVE OPINION it's ABUSE and I will call the FBI. They were both gasping for air, John’s eyes locked on Sherlock’s. There was no recognition there, just wild animal fear.
Time stood still for an eternal few seconds, and Sherlock took a shaky breath. “John—”
