Octavius has fallen in love. But he can't seem to get over the pride that tells him the man he's fallen for is much too far beneath him. Nonetheless, he confesses-and it's safe to say Jedediah won't take kindly to being talked down to.
In other words I took a few of the key chapters of Pride and Prejudice and just re-wrote them (obviously making them a lot shorter and simpler) with Jedediah as Bennet and Octavius as Darcy. Enjoy!

He finds it thrilling to fight Jedediah like this, to tear into each other until they’re both panting messes, hair disheveled and skin blossoming with purple bruises. Octavius subconsciously loves the small in-betweens where they catch their breath. Having Jedediah laid out before him, shirt rumpled and red handkerchief skewed out of place. He feels an almost possessive pride seeing the marks they leave on each other, claiming one another, even in the name of rivalry. For what is hatred, if not a twisted form of fascination?
tldr someone on tumblr said jedtavius makes more sense as bitter exes and i haven't stopped thinking about it since

Summary
Octavius sets Jed down as quickly as possible without straight up throwing him to the ground and gets into position. He’s seen this exactly once in a movie he can’t remember the name of, and that victim had drowned in water, but surely the concept of clearing the airways and making oxygen circulate was the same here, and Octavius didn’t have any further ideas save for beating the life back into Jedediah with his helmet, which he couldn’t do because he’d lost it in the sand.
OR
Jedediah is a drama queen and Octavius loses his shit (a rewrite of the hourglass scene).

Loki somehow found a way to complain about every tiny little thing. His favourite topic was the TVA.
He would whinge about the food (“Not enough seasoning and why is everything beige, how did you manage to make peas beige?”), about the smell (“There’s this horrible disinfectant everywhere, yes I know everything is clean but at what cost? I can’t smell anything but artificial lemon and it’s disgusting.”), about the clothes (“Everything itches. How do you live like this? You know there are fabrics other than polyester, right? They do exist.”), even about Mobius himself (“Why do you breathe so loud? Why do you chew so loud? The sight of your moustache makes me want to rip my face off.”).
So yup. It was a lot. Mobius coped with it by ignoring it, but that didn’t put Loki off. Nothing put Loki off. He just kept going.
(Or: Mobius and Loki become roommates and have movie nights. This escalates.)
