Summary
Cautiously, as if testing the waters, Gi-hun cleared his throat. “So… a member of your staff wants to pay to…slap me…?”
The guard was silent for a beat. Then, deadpan: “No.”
Gi-hun let out a breath. “Oh. Well, that’s—”
"You are an omega, are you not?" The guard interjected smoothly, their tone flat and clinical. "A high-ranking staff member is seeking companionship. They are willing to compensate you for your time. As previously stated, precautions will be taken to ensure you remain in optimal condition for the next game."
Oh?
OH.
Or: Middle-aged omega Gi-hun, a down-on-his-luck gambling addict, had entered the Squid Game out of desperation, only to find himself in an unexpected "bonus round" with the alpha Front Man. Which would turn out to be the first of several encounters over the years between the two of them that would challenge their beliefs and reshape their understanding of the world around them.

Summary
Gi-hun’s rebellion failed. Now imprisoned, he’s nothing more than a pawn in a game he thought he could escape. The Front Man has plans for him, and he’s not content with just breaking Gi-hun physically - he wants to remake him, reshape him into a tool of the system. The pull of surrender becomes harder to resist with each passing moment, as the Front Man’s dark brand of affection worms its way under Gi-hun’s skin.
But a mysterious soldier, whose presence feels eerily familiar, watches from the shadows, unsettling Gi-hun with memories he can’t quite reach and dredging up a past that threatens to shatter what little sanity he has left.
Or:
Gi-hun is torn between the Front Man’s suffocating grip and a ghost from his past - one who may be the key to his salvation or his destruction.

Summary
✧.── Leon's mind was a bleak landscape, a reality that haunted his every waking moment. As he stood before the bank of screens, watching the new batch of players enter the first game arena, these desperate souls that In-ho so callously referred to as "scum" and "trash."
Not that he didn't agree. Of course.
In-ho's words were gospel to Leon, the foundation upon which his entire world was built. The Frontman had elevated him, placed him in a position of power and trust, all in the name of loyalty and duty. But as Leon looked inward, he saw something that unsettled him – a desperation not so different from the players he was tasked with overseeing.
Leon wondered, was he truly any different from them? Or was he merely better at hiding, better at controlling, the very same impulses that drove these individuals to risk everything for a chance at salvation? Did In-ho see his true nature, or simply the loyal servant he wanted Leon to be?
Perhaps, in making him stand amongst them, Leon would finally be able to see it. And maybe in-ho too, will see that his loyal servant was the same 'scum' as the rest of them.

Summary
He tried to save them. But when the truth came out, they turned on him without hesitation. Now the only hand left reaching for Jun-ho… is the one he once let go – and swore he’d never take again.
“You’re the Front Man’s brother?!”
Jun-ho didn’t flinch, didn’t lift his head, didn’t even breathe for a moment – but the damage was done the second those words were spoken into the open air.
They weren’t quiet anymore.
The players around them had been half-listening, dozing, watching – but now they were alert, restless, shifting on their bunks with that terrible, collective awareness that something was happening and it might matter. -

Summary
Gi-hun nods at him, eyes never leaving In-ho’s face for a second, “Dae-ho will be back with more.”
And there it is again. That blind faith in others. In the goodness of people.
It makes In-ho sick.
In-ho allows himself to gaze back at Gi-hun for a few more seconds, committing his features to memory, taking in the pure trust in his eyes, knowing that he’ll never see that look turned toward him again.
A single clip of ammunition, pressed into In‑ho’s palm like a benediction.
The metal is warm from Gi‑hun’s pocket.
For one awful second, In‑ho imagines loading his gun with it and shooting the other man in the chest, just to see that hope snap in half.
Or: In-ho gets stuck in a time loop, repeating the failed rebellion over and over again until he eventually gets it right.

Summary
“Would it be easier if you called me Young-il?”
Her reaction is visceral. Her eyes snap to his, sharp with something indignant, something almost offended. “What?”
Would it be easier for you?” he repeats, slowly, like he’s testing something. “If I was Young-il?”
She blinks once, then twice, as if trying to gauge whether she’s hearing him correctly. “You aren’t Young-il.”
His lips curl—too sharp for a smirk, too controlled for a snarl. “But I was.”
“No.” Her voice is steady. "You acted like him.”
"And yet, it felt real to you, didn’t it?”
She exhales sharply.
“I remember how you looked at me,” he continues. “Like you—”
“Don’t.” She spits the word before he can finish the thought.
But In-ho just leans in, eyes glittering with something too alive, like he’s pressing on a bruise just to see how much pain it can take before it gives. “You trusted Young-il.”
She doesn’t answer.
“You cared about him.”
Still, nothing.
His eyes flutter softly, and then he leans forward, lowering his voice. Gentle, like he’s offering an olive branch. “It wasn’t a lie.”
Her stomach tightens.
“Did it feel like one?”⋆ Sequel to 'Error.'
