"Yeah, he's been my best friend for years. He means a lot to me." Mumbo admitted, feeling a bit bashful but proud as well. He knew Grian cared for him just as much.
Xisuma blinked at him in surprise, his eyebrows shooting up for a second before he schooled his expression into something more neutral.

Etho is temporarily blinded. Bdubs offers to help out while he recovers. They've been on-again-off-again friends with benefits for over a decade, so a couple of weeks living together while Etho’s out of action isn’t going to change anything between them.

Death, as a concept, has never been something that scary to Etho.

Summary
Etho finds the energy to roll over to face the stranger. Everything about him is loud: his voice, his wide eyes and grin, messy dark hair resting on warm, sun-browned skin. There is a gap between the two front teeth of his ever-present smile, which Etho’s half asleep brain finds endearing somehow.
“Ah, you put your mask back on.” Why does he sound… disappointed?
“Who are you?” Etho asks after a moment, not wanting to forget too quickly that this stranger has been watching him sleep, still hasn’t explained himself, and is most likely another foreigner.
“Right. Probably should have started with that, huh.” The stranger extends his hand so Etho can shake it, which he does with some reservation. “Bdubs. BdoubleO if you want to be formal about it, which you might considering I did save your life.”

All Admins are on call to lend a hand or lend some knowledge and experience to other Admins if they need help. Xisuma used to get calls from a new Admin, the Admin of Evo and they grew close over the two years of calls. One day the calls end. It is only during Season Nine, when they end up in Empires does Xisuma learn that the young Admin he had grown so fond of is Grian.
