There is no light switch for the lamp. It turns on and off by itself when he picks up a book.
When he finishes rereading a book for the third time, it is replaced with another before he wakes up, or comes back from the shower.
He’d told The Fool that he could never reread a book more than three times. -

My silly little rewrite of a kid's show that ended years ago
(all of which are prone to retconning on a whim lol (think of these as drafts, as they could change while the plot develops))
