Sanhua knew of her uncle but had no actual memory of him other than a soft smile and the words “Just like how many insects are able to perceive colors humans cannot, you can see what others cannot. Use it well.”
So why did this stranger at Panhua’s feel so familiar?

Bracing himself with one hand atop that table, Qiuyuan's brush moved in a tasteful pattern upon the page. A gentle arc, a series of sharp lines– and together, they created an elegant character his blind eyes could not see.
"Ah-" A small noise emerged from his throat– and that brush suddenly steered violently off course, painting the table black.
He didn’t want to surrender. He didn’t want to accept it.
But he had already lost.
“Careful, swordsman.” Geshu Lin purred against his ear, and fucked into him hard. “If you keep making careless mistakes, we’re going to be here all night.”

Qiuyuan infiltrates the ISA's headquarters to look for documents on Grandmaster Liang's death. Unexpectedly, he gets spotted and needs to hide. Thankfully, a closet is right there, coming to his rescue. But in there... a surprise awaits him.In the distance, he could hear the soldiers scream. Had they realized his absence by now? Well, even if they did and managed to find this closet, it wouldn’t matter. He had pushed a black leaf into the lock, sealing it shut for anyone but him.
He was safe.
At least for now.
A few footsteps echoed through the hallways, growing louder and louder as five soldiers ran past, not even stopping to check the closet. It wouldn’t take them long to give up. And if he hadn’t been mistaken when checking his terminal earlier, he just had to wait a little bit longer until shift change and then-
“Are you fucking kidding me?”“Oh.”

This is for geshuyan 2025 – (drunken) Confession
Qiuyuan’s speech-to-text: Did I just confess my love by saying our fates are intertwined? And then get piggy-backed? Oh and now he’s bringing me breakfast.“It is selfish for me to ask… but if you don’t have any pressing matters…”, he whispered into the prolonged silence, “May I 'die in this stupid ditch' with some company?”
He could hear the fabric above him rustle and he could only imagine how the man would rub the bridge of his nose in annoyance.
“So you’re not just a drunk, but a clingy drunk, got it.”
As Qiuyuan had expected – annoyance. Now the rejection would follow, he would break free from Qiuyuan’s grasp and-
The man knelt down. Without a word, without a sigh, nothing. He just sat down in front of Qiuyuan and grabbed his now useless hand. He squeezed it once. A simple gesture and yet… Qiuyuan couldn’t remember when he had last felt so warm.
“I’ll stay.”, he announced his decision, his tone leaving no room for questions, “But let’s make one thing clear: You will not die on my damn watch.”Bookmarked by jnsaisp
