First it was his blue hoodie, then a Gotham Knights Jersey, then a sweatshirt, then a Great Frog shirt Wally had given to him as a gag gift. Dick didn’t stop him and how could he?
Jason looked like a newborn kitten in them, the sleeves slipping off his shoulders and covering half his thighs. Plus, he was 'generous' enough to lend Dick most of it back.
All except the blue hoodie. Dick didn't ask for it, didn't pry.

Bruce’s brain takes a moment to reboot. “Your parents are in South America?”
“Yes.”
He’s not sure why he’s so surprised – the Drakes are known for their work in archeology, and not much of that can be done locally. Still, he assumed that they took Timothy with them when they left the country for work. It seems a shame to leave him with a nanny this close to Christmas.
“Okay,” he says, erasing the numbers typed into his phone. “What’s your nanny’s number, then?”
“My what?” Timothy looks scandalized.
“Your babysitter? Whoever is in charge of you while your parents are gone,” he clarifies.
“I’m in charge of me when my parents are gone,” Timothy says proudly, his little chest puffing out. “I’m the Man of the House.”
AKA
Tim gets to spend Christmas with the Waynes! This will not have lasting consequences, I'm sure.

Or: Kon and Tim get kidnapped for display in an alien zoo. They only really wanted Kryptonians, but Kon manages to get the zookeepers to believe the human he came with is necessary for his general well-being.

Summary
During the Joker's latest attack, five boys went missing. Of them, only Tim has figured out how to survive under the Joker's twisted version of "care." As escape attempts pile up, Tim realizes that his freedom hinges on Batman and Robin coming to his rescue—but even they seem unable to find him with the Joker having gone underground.
Jason knows it’s only a matter of time before Bruce realizes the mistake he's made by taking him in. Labelled as "reckless" and "emotional," his newly-discovered birth mom might be his last chance at family.

Tim was doing just fine on his own. He fell into a routine between school, extracurriculars, and his nightly Batstalking. Maybe his situation was unconventional, but he could take care of himself.

Although at first content to watch them from behind his camera, it was only a matter of time before he got invested.
