The moment his mouth tugs into the smallest of smiles, she realizes that he once again has her figured out.

In hindsight, it wouldn’t be too bad to stay with him just a bit longer. However, the blatant stubbornness on her end and persistence on his isn’t making their situation or the charged air between them any less thick.
