Summary
New York, 1957. Eames is a successful but lonely illustrator, content with his quiet life in his Greenwich Village studio. Summary
There's a lot of expectation attached to Steve Rogers' name. It's taken him years to prove his own worth - that he's made it so far in the USNA on his own merit and not just because of his father. He's close though - there are only a few more months until he graduates and gets to stand on his own two feet. It's taken a lot of effort to get there, and a lot of sacrifices.
Bucky's beyond the point of expectation. When your father and grandfather have both been President - and your mother nurses political ambitions of her own - brilliance is a foregone conclusion. He's just counting down the final months of his confinement to the glass cage of the White House and he's determined to put that whole world behind him.
But as the days standing between them and their dreams dwindle, Steve comes to realize he might have made one sacrifice too many, and Bucky learns that his freedom comes at a cost he's never going to be able to pay.

Summary
The souls of sinners eventually develop callouses that protect them from the worst of the torture in Hell. Adam, unfortunately, has too little of these to count, so he jumps at the chance when Michael offers a solution that could save them both: binding his soul to the archangel's grace. It makes life in the Pit slightly more bearable, his soul is no longer in danger of being shredded, and Adam even comes to see Michael as a friend. When they are raised from Perdition, however, Adam realizes that there was a heck of a fine-print to this seemingly sweet deal: he and Michael are soul-mated and there's no such thing as divorce-court in Heaven. Marriage to an angel isn't all puppies and rainbows, especially when you're also juggling a family curse and some dewy-eyed bromance crap.

“Illya.” Napoleon started. His name sounded foreign on the American’s tongue, but not wrong. His pronunciation was a little off. “I think there are a few things we need to discuss.” Illya braced himself. This did not sound good. “At this school, I have a reputation. I’m on top, you understand?”
Illya nodded. “Do not concern yourself,” Illya said, “I am not interested in those American girls.”
Napoleon scoffed, “I find that unlikely, some of them are practically models.”
Illya’s cheeks pinked. This is what he had been avoiding. But what he wished to avoid even more was a fight on his first day. “You misunderstand,” he said, voice lowered, “I am not interested in any girls.”
Napoleon took a small step back as he registered what Illya had just said, instinctively uttering a small “Oh”. Gears clicked over in his head as he readjusted his previous opinions of Illya. Illya offered a small smile and shrugged. With his admission he had seemed to crumble, slouching down so he appeared much smaller than he was. He prepared himself for the worst.
“Well,” Napoleon said, swallowing, “In that case,” he smirked, “do you want my number"
