The term T’hy’la was introduced by Gene Roddenberry in his novelization of The Motion Picture and is often used by fandom as a Vulcan bond that is revered and honored by Vulcan culture, but what if that wasn’t the case. What would Spock be like in a world where the word t’hy’la has a history more like the word queer, but Vulcan is still in the 1980s? And is he brave enough to truly put into practice the lesson he learned from V’ger?

Summary
Alastor needs to become closer to Lucifer in order to manipulate him, but he's averse to everything Lucifer needs: touch, romance, sex, and, above all, emotional support. Thankfully, he has someone under his heel who has the same needs, someone loyal who has been craving a connection from him for a century: his shadow.
If Alastor can't give either of them what they need from him, he can at least give them to each other. Being witness to it all will give him the leverage he needs, and they can be happy together. Everyone wins.
That's how his shadow starts a relationship with the King of Hell. No one is pretending it isn't a messed up arrangement, but it works out. Until the moment it blows up in their faces, that is.

I usually avoid Dead Dove tagged stories but I am glad this time I didn't. This was a rather interesting take that sticks closer to the canon version of Alastor who is presented as a touch-adverse AroAce. I love that he's repulsed by everything that involves human connection but his deal gave him a 24/7 permanent roommate in his head and around him. He both loves and detests the existence of his shadow in much the same that he feels for Lucifer. It's such an interesting psychological character study of all three.
