Summary
In some rare private moments, he had seen Suo have a bite or two of food, here and there, but never something he made himself. So, can he be blamed for wishing to see Suo taste something he made for him?
Nothing, absolutely nothing, could have prepared him for when Suo leaned over and swallowed the remaining two pancakes on the stack, from the same skewer Kiryu ate off, while it was still in his hand.

“Did you hear that, Kiryu-kun? Apparently some of our fans think we’d look good together.”
Kiryu, who looked like he was a second away from dozing off, snapped awake hearing that statement. “We would break the internet if that happened.” He snickered.
“Yeah, Nire-kun will throw a fit if he finds out.”
“Yeah yeah,” Kiryu waved him off. “I’ll be kind to Nirei-chan and not date you. It’ll save him some headache.”
They bantered back and forth, once again about the same thing, until the joke startled feeling less humorous.
Or, the three times they joked about dating each other, and the one time it's wasn't a joke anymore.

Kiryu… judging by the weight and texture of this silence, it’s clear his attention is on him.
So why isn’t he asking him anything?
Something about the conditions of this moment make Suo suddenly more curious than he’s been in a while. He can feel his usual composure slipping, this new curiosity growing more insistent by the second.
I want to know more about him.

or, suo hates that he can't figure out kiryu - until the day at the beach. kiryu gives him an opening and suo can't help but take advantage of it.
(from chapter 169, "summer break", on. dual perspective. will likely end up covering suo's arc from kiryu's perspective, as i think there's a lot of potential there.
side note this is based on a hc i have of kiryu liking neon signs and wanting to hang one on his wall. lol) -

Summary
For Suo’s Birthday 2026!
Mitsuki wasn’t crazy about birthdays like some people were. He did, though, take severe offense to Hayato neglecting to mention his birthday when they first became friends. Every year since that incident, Mitsuki ensured that Hayato celebrated his day, in one way or another.
This year in particular was different.

Summary
Everyone kept talking to Suo – and Kiryu couldn’t even blame them. It was Suo’s birthday, after all. But still. He just wanted to talk to Suo, just Suo, and get all these thoughts and feelings out of his system for once. He had to do something about the way his heart felt like it might explode out of his chest when Suo spoke to him, the way his stomach tingled with the fluttering wings of butterflies at the thought his feelings might be reciprocated, the way the breath was often stolen from his lungs every time their eyes met.
He couldn’t keep dancing around Suo, wondering if there really was something there every time they exchanged words or glances, or if he was being too hopeful and had been imagining things all along.

Sakusa didn't feel lonely. He liked being alone. And when he felt the need for socialization, he could always turn to his cousin, who always responded with excitement that he'd been the one to initiate contact.
"I have you." He said without hesitation. "You're completely more than enough for me and I really don't need more people in my life."
Komori smiled sadly.
"I'm glad to finally hear from you that you appreciate my presence, but that attitude isn't healthy. You can't have just one person in your life." Motoya said in a rare, serious voice. "When you're dependent on just one person, and they leave, you'll be completely alone."
Komori Motoya, Sakusa Kiyoomi's closest and only friend, has always wanted his cousin to make friends, but Kiyoomi has always refused, saying he doesn't need anyone else in his life. When Komori falls into a coma after a car accident, Sakusa begins to seriously consider his cousin's request and makes him a promise: he will try to make friends. He doesn't expect how deep the bonds will be.

Summary
Suo Hayato prides himself on being the one who watches, the one who knows, and the one who never reveals his hand. A simple afternoon of tarot readings for Sakura, Nirei, and the others is supposed to be nothing more than a polished performance. However, Kiryu Mitsuki has always been the variable Suo couldn't quite calculate. As the cards reveal truths Suo has spent months burying, the air in the classroom grows heavy with a tension that no mask can hide.
