Summary
Cas’ first solo hunt as an almost human. What could possibly go wrong?
or
Cas gets himself turned into a worm and he can only be cured by true love's kiss. Now, Dean has a lot to think about. At least he would if he didn't stubbornly refuse to think of anything as complicated as his own feelings.

Summary
It was a nameless planet, third from its sun. Landless; windswept azure oceans roiled across its surface. But beneath the waters murky currents churned, combining and recombining acids, aminos, lipids, and all other gifts bestowed by the Creator. Until finally the fated reaction occurred: a self replicating chain. In the eyes of the Creator the change was instant, and the once lonely oceans now teemed with life.
One such thing, multilegged and compound-eyed, chitinous and pearlescent, crawled across the sandy ocean bottom and, as it had always done, filtered the ever-present currents and brought the tiny specks of life it had caught to its mouth with its pincers.
Was it the hand of the creator that intervened or had the thing reached a level of complexity, is uncertain. But there was a spark within a spark, and suddenly the thing knew itself. Dean, it knew, is what it was.

Summary
Dean dies with the Mark of Cain on his arm, waking up with black eyes and hellfire licking at his heels.
Cas, sick on the stolen grace that's rotting inside him, gives chase.
As his pursuit and Dean's evasion ebbs and flows, they begin to figure out the difference between marks given and marks received, and what it means when one such mark is faded but not forgotten.

Summary
The briefing was simple: ‘Stand guard over the Michael Sword until the battle is ready to commence. Await further instructions.’
Castiel doesn’t mind working security duty; he was briefed shortly after the initial salvation of the Sword from the pit, and again before taking up his position. He knows what to do. However, it’s easy to forget that the green room isn’t real. Time moves differently there, the space ever-changing to make a prison of mountains, cathedrals, salt flats, orchards, and whatever Castiel was led to believe about Heaven’s greatest weapon—Dean Winchester is something entirely unexpected.

Summary
"I'm not yours," Ogata's words come quick, too quick. He pulls on Sugimoto's hair violently, forcing his head backwards into his neck so he has to look up at Ogata. "And I will never be. Get that into that thick skull of yours already before you regret it."
Ogata wants to keep his distance.
Sugimoto pulls him closer.

Summary
The soldier sighs. “You really can’t tune it down, can you?“ He tries to scratch his nose through the gloves and bandages; a futile attempt. He gives up quickly. “You? So that I know which division I’m gonna tell my guys is full of dickheads.” It’s an insult some army guys would take too seriously, but lucky for him, Ogata never gave a damn about that kind of bullshit.
“7th,” Ogata says, grin widening, “and I can confirm; we are full of assholes over there."
Ogata encounters a lonley soldier with a bandaged face in an abandoned trench of Mukden.
