Summary
There's something missing here, and they both feel it hard. Light will openly taunt him, finding new ways to mock anything from his hair to his clothes to him being a cheap not-L, and Near will take it. Maybe offer a few barbs of his own. But their hearts aren't in it, not like they used to be. It's the routine of things; Near comes to forget about everything for a while and Light humours him for the sake of mental stimulation. He's a social creature, and it works out well for them both.
Two things can be true at once: Light lost, and Near is hopelessly, incredibly fucking bored.

Summary
The brownies were not very good. There was an odd pungent undertone to them that neither Light or Matsuda could identify — despite being total narcs, or perhaps because of this fact, they were not familiar with the signature taste of marijuana in edibles.
Matsuda made them coffee and breakfast, and they got to work, the brownies quickly forgotten. Because they were full from the stodgy brownies, they only ate a bit of yogurt for breakfast. This was a grave error.
While working on the Kira case, Light and Matsuda accidentally get very high. They do not cope well with this.

Summary
Viktor was nearing the door to the lab when he noticed it was ajar, and a strip of light was emanating from the crack. His heart leapt in a sudden rush of fear. Are there intruders inside? Their work was certainly worth the risk to steal. It wouldn’t be the first time after all. But then he heard the rumble of voices and recognized the distinct tone of Jayce’s voice. His heart stilled at the realization that Jayce was in the lab with someone. At least it wasn’t thieves. But then an intense curiosity bloomed brightly in his chest, and he inched his way closer to the door.
What was Jayce up to this late at night?Viktor finds out just how Jayce manages to secure funding for their HexTech work.
