Summary
Ed has given a lot of thought to how he'd make their first time good for Stede, who has never held another man, who has never been held the way he deserves. He’s been thinking about it with increasing frequency since Stede’s return, even in the face of his request to take things slow, something he still wants to stick by. There’s no harm in thinking of the future, though, and he’s still a man with wants and desires who needs a little extra material to get himself off, sometimes.
He thinks things may have continued on a path towards that conclusion, had he not just witnessed Stede kill a man.

The pillow is fluffy but just firm enough that it presses nicely against Ed's body, the silky fabric a soft slide between her thighs that makes her want to chase the sensation. So she shifts her hips, squishing the pillow harder between her legs, curious. She slides against the pillow and it starts a slow roll of arousal inside, as if it were a lover's teasing caress. She certainly can't stop there, can she?
She wants to feel it. Wrapped in Stede's robe, in her scent, in her soft things, Ed closes her eyes and imagines Stede there with her. She's not rubbing her aching cunt on a pillow but on Stede's thigh as the woman herself whispers encouragement into her ear. Fuck.

Summary
Stede has always longed to see the Northern Lights, but never had the chance to go during his marriage as Mary hated vacationing anywhere cold. With his father’s retirement looming, Stede only has a small window of time to achieve his dream before he’s tied down to his responsibility to the Bonnet family legacy. He sets out on an impulsive and woefully unprepared trip to Finland to see the Northern Lights and perhaps discover something about himself along the way.
Edward Teach moved to Finland years ago for a change of scenery and to get away from… well, he doesn’t like thinking about it. His tour business is successful, and he’s proud to earn a living showing off all the wonderful things about the place he calls home now. Although, maybe, if he’s being honest, he’s just a bit lonely? Still, no time to dwell on that since it’s his busiest season, and one of the best times of year for his biggest moneymaker - snowmobile tours to view the Northern Lights.

Summary
“Thank you, by the way,” Stede adds, even though his heart is sort of in his throat about it. It’s not that he thinks it was wrong of Ed to punch the guy, or that he’s not grateful to be defended so fiercely. He loves when Ed gets all huffy and protective. It just feels a little different when your best friend punches a man into the appetizer table for insulting you and you also know you’ve been in love with him for thirty years. (The best friend, not the appetizer man.)
It’s also hard not to feel just a little guilty about the whole thing when you’re on your knees in the bathroom with a first aid kit spilled around you, watching that best friend’s face pinch up in an attempt not to wince when you first take his hand in yours.
