Summary
After years of traveling to Erebor to celebrate the New Year with his dwarven friends, Bilbo Baggins decides that the time has come to stay in the Shire. He has certain familial obligations that have gone unaddressed for too long. Specifically, an orphaned nephew who needs him. Much as he will miss the Durin's Day celebrations, and a certain dwarf in particular, his travels must end. Fortunately, that does not preclude others from traveling to visit him.

The pressure lights up every receptor of his touch-starved nervous system, wrenching a small, pained noise from the back of his throat. Every muted sensation comes flooding back so intensely that it almost hurts. He needs Ilya to hold him down until there’s nothing inside him but quiet. He wants to sink into him and disappear.
It takes Shane an entire beat to remember where they are. Fighting against the fog in his mind, he manages to drag his gaze up to meet Ilya’s.
There’s a slow-dawning horror and understanding on Ilya’s face.

Summary

Dean likes his job; fixing the camp trucks, troubleshooting the generators, keeping clueless undergrads and NSF bigwigs from walking into grizzly bears or getting lost in snowstorms — it’s all in a day’s work. It keeps him pretty busy, and this year his brother Sam's visiting too, so he's even busier. So it’s really not any of Dean’s business when some weirdo antisocial ornithologist sets up a tent a few miles away, a dark-haired blue-eyed guy who’s doing a “very long-term" study on birds or wings or something, and who never, ever takes off his big lumpy backpack. But then the new guy starts dropping by camp for coffee and... well, he’s not officially part of camp; he's not Dean’s responsibility; he’s really not Dean’s problem at all, but when a strange blizzard comes sweeping in, Dean gets worried and goes to check. Thing is, Dean's spent years in the sweeping vistas of the Arctic. He knows all about the midnight sun and the northern lights, the ice caves and avalanches, the rough-and-ready Haul Road truckers and the even rougher-and-readier wild animals. One shuffling step towards the entrance; another. The air was clear and cold, sapping all warmth from his body.
"We are a tad underdressed for the weather," Viktor said dryly, seeing him shiver.
Jayce laughed. "We're underdressed for everything except one of Count Azika's famous parties."

And if Mae gets a little confused about how many daddies she has… or if Jayce is in denial about what kind of partner he wants Viktor to be… Well. They’re going to figure it out eventually.

Jayce would give anything to Viktor, be anything for Viktor. And in this universe, he’d been his husband. Had given him his name. A gift that has lasted beyond even death.

“I don’t want to hear anything you have to say.” Even as he clings to it, the anger bleeds out of him. Viktor is very close, and Jayce can feel the shivering power in his fingertips. The burning heat in Jayce’s wrist dissipates.
The corner of Viktor’s mouth quirks up in a facsimile of a smile.
“You’re lying.” Viktor says, and draws his hand away from where it was clutching Jayce’s face. Viktor stands, and Jayce, held down on his knees, looks up at his newly imposing form. The position is… compromising. Ridiculously, Jayce feels heat rush to his face. “You are far too clever to not be curious. Not to mention to turn down being gifted a strategic advantage like this.”
“Fine, then.” Jayce grunts out. “Show me, Herald.”After the events of episode six, Viktor comes back different. And he traps Jayce in a compromising position.
