Amanda never questioned Steve about the feint crescent shaped marks on his torso that she had come to know so well.
She didn’t mention the scars that looped around his neck, crisscrossing almost perfectly at his throat.
When he woke up screaming – kicking and clawing at some invisible creature – she didn’t pry. She simply held him and reminded him that he was safe, that he was home, and that she was there.
She didn’t have to ask because the moment she crossed the border into Hawkins, Indiana, her fate had been sealed and she had been dragged headfirst into a world of monsters and nightmares.
What had started as a few weeks of volunteering in the small town after the earthquake turned into so much more than she could have ever imagined and while everyone was doing their best to move on with their lives now that Vecna was truly gone, it hadn’t been an easy road.
