We are firmly in AU land here. I would love to give credit to fantastic works Allegiance, Libero Per Fidem, Welcome to the Club, and the glorious talent in Abundance of Faith, for creating an alternate view of Vader, Piett, Luke, et al. Thanks for making such a great sandbox to play in.
After Bespin, Vader is dealing with regret and the the realization that he does not want his son to turn as he did. Thus, Palpatine must be destroyed. Piett is complicit in this plan and helped to get Luke away from Bespin in this head canon. Luke harbors respect and admiration for the diminutive admiral. Veers doesn't know all the details but as the best friend and brother in arms, will go where Piett directs. And Piett will go where Vader leads. But this is Sidious we're dealing with and his plans have plans......

The Boy Who Came Back to Life!” He brandishes, raises his arms to motion them, theatrical and dramatic, and Will can tell he makes a great DM. Will’s lips raise in a smile, but doesn’t let himself look too impressed. Eddie glances back at him, grinning. “What? Not a fan?”
Will shakes his head. “You make it sound much cooler.”
Will returns to Hawkins, and makes a friend out of a certain metalhead.

“Did I do something wrong?” Mike questions, mouth twisted in a frown, eyes less wide than they were a few moments ago, sleepiness gone. His arms stay at his sides, although his fingers fiddle with his sleeves. “What did I do wrong?”
Will frowns back. “You didn’t do anything wrong.”
Mike doesn’t look like he believes him. Will doesn’t blame him. “Then why do you keep leaving?”
The world ends, and then some. Mike and Will find each other again, amidst the debris and distance.

Summary
Spencer makes no move to get off the bed. His movements stop somewhere above Derek, and then he feels a weight pressing slowly and considerately onto him as his boyfriend apparently mistakes him for the mattress.
Derek opens his eyes, exhaling through his nose. Spencer shuffles, half-asleep, somehow managing to get even closer as if he thinks it's possible to merge with Derek if he just tries hard enough.
"You okay?"
"Mm." Spencer's eyes are still closed, his hands fumbling in the dark until they find the hem of Derek's shirt and slip underneath it. "Y'r warm."
or: Derek and Spencer move in together. It's an adjustment made as easy as breathing.

“Hotch?” Morgan’s voice cracks over his shoulder.
With hands he’ll forever deny are shaking, Hotch reaches up and presses two fingers to Spencer’s carotid, even though he can feel him breathing. It’s faster than he would like, but it’s there, and it’s strong. “He’s okay, just unconscious,” he assures his other agent, whose hands hover over Spencer’s back like he’s afraid to touch him.
Gideon steps closer, reaching for one of Spencer’s arms. “Here, I’ll take—”
Hotch doesn’t let him finish the sentence, crouching down so he can hook one arm under Spencer’s knees, careful to keep the other supporting his back, then lifts him slowly. Sleeping people are heavy, and his ageing knees complain as he returns to a standing position, but he doesn’t blink.
Or: After being rescued from Hankel, Reid makes the perfectly reasonable decision to take a quick nap. So what if it's a little sudden and in the arms of his boss?

Spencer turns on his Mag-Lite and sweeps it over empty cabinets and a dusty stove. The light is weak to begin with, and he needs to change the batteries, so he fumbles through the dark until he finds Gideon's lamp and turns it on.
He sees Gideon's feet, first.
OR: in which when spencer goes to check on gideon after he doesn't show up for work, he finds a bit more than a letter.

Summary
Gunshots rang out, causing Eggsy to flinch against Daisy. He peered out warily, and blinked. The bikers were dead. One had his head shattered, his bike on its flank several feet away, shot right off. The two women were dead, in a heap of metal and scrap, their chests bloody cavities. Eggsy could hear the last biker, revving away, shrieking, and then a tall man stepped into view, and for a moment Eggsy had to rub his eyes in disbelief.
The stranger was wearing a suit, a gods-be-fucking-damned suit, if dusty at the cuffs and the heels, the shirt softened from too many washes and faintly discoloured. He was wearing a satchel at his hip, and had a pair of black-rimmed glasses on, with a scar over one eye, and seemed to be in his mid to late fifties, at least, broad-shouldered, handsome. In his hands was an M4 carbine, which he raised efficiently to his shoulder, dropping to one knee in a fluid, graceful move, aiming and firing a short burst. Distantly, to the left, there was a dying scream.

“Just think about it, William," Henry continues, likely after he's decided Will has ruminated on this for an appropriate amount of time. "All the things we could do together. We could build a new world, clean up the muck in the one that exists. No one has to get hurt. Think about it. I’ll be waiting for your answer.”
Henry’s arm lurches out in front of him, and all Will can do is stare in horror as one bony finger moves in towards his forehead. His eyes squeeze shut as a fingernail breaches his skin, and his vision goes white, then black.
“Will?”
That is definitely not Henry’s voice.
It's 1987, the Upside Down is infiltrating Hawkins, and Will's new home is Mike Wheeler's basement. As if that isn't bad enough, Will starts having odd dreams. At least, he thinks they're just dreams -- but if they're only dreams, why is he waking up in the Wheeler's front yard?
