    “Honestly Deku, I really couldn’t care less that you have a girlfriend.”

    Silence fell upon the room as Izuku gave him a look he couldn’t quite decipher. “...What are you trying to say?” Izuku finally questioned after several moments, carefully.

    Shit.

    Katsuki has been pining for years after Izuku. He's softened up a bit, bankrolled a hero suit for the nerd, and gives lectures at UA whenever Izuku requests it. So when what he thought was a dream they shared doesn't pan out like he'd planned, life goes in a direction Katsuki never would've expected.

    A story told over five acts which leans heavily into the pain of three characters, with Katsuki's anguish being the focal-point. The happy ending and eventual comfort to the hurt exists for everyone, no matter how bleak things may seem at times, but this story will be gut-wrenching to read most of the chapters. If you aren't at least a bit of a masochist, this fic is probably not for you. You have been warned.

    Oh, and the title of the fic is in part inspired by the song Scorpio Rising by Soccer Mommy, and also in part by, well, astrology.

    Since losing One For All, Izuku's life has slowed to an aching pace. Adrenaline lies dormant in his veins, his days morph into one with a repetitive schedule.

    Izuku has given up on being a hero, yet Katsuki refuses to let Izuku's dream die.

    The day of the Hero Incident ends much more horribly than anyone could've imagined, but only Izuku knows that. He thinks as long as he forces himself to push through it that he can get over it, but of course, that's not how things go. His mom, friends, teachers, and even his childhood friend-turned-rival take note of his odd behavior and try to help, but he refuses to talk about what really happened. How long and how thin will Bakugou's patience go until Izuku finally confides and accepts the help he needs?

    (in this fic, Shigaraki takes more from Izuku than he should've, Katsuki comes with the class that day at the mall, and there are still finals to be taken. Plenty can happen in only five to six weeks.)

    Izuku Midoriya's Quirk was...dangerous. Since the age of four he knew what true nightmares were made of. Demons were the soldiers of hell, and they made it their mission to terrify him for fun. Peeling skin, black sillouhettes, and grating screams that froze him in place where only a part of it. Their words and dark hymns followed him, crushing his body and soul.

    But not as much as his mother did. Inko was prone to using her fists and venomous words to beat him down, and she was worse than the demons who followed him day and night.

    "God does not shine upon you,"

    The demons repeated it like a mantra, and they were all right. God hated them all, the fallen wingless angels who he damned for eternity. He loathed Izuku too, the boy who could see them. Izuku was cursed with an uncontrollable Quirk, but he tamed those demons. They were his, and his alone.

    God sneered at him, and he smiled devilishly back. God had given the demons exactly what they needed...

    Izuku Midoriya. A King.

    After Katsuki shows up to the dorms drunk after a night spent at his mother's house, some things become extremely apparent to his classmates and teachers.
    One: Katsuki will refuse to admit anything is ever wrong.
    Two: There's something wrong with Katsuki, something very wrong, and they have no idea what it is.
    Three: Katsuki is in a violent downward spiral, and no one knows how to help.

    Or,
    Katsuki always attracts the worst in his life. For as long as he can remember, nothing was ever easy and painless. This especially comes true as he starts his UA high school journey. Now he has dangerous, slippery nightmares he can't explain, a mother who seems intent on beating the villain out of him, and nosy teachers asking all of the wrong questions. To top it off, his classmates are watching him more closely than ever before.
    Katsuki isn't sure what will come first- him splintering into pieces under the pressure, or everyone learning the truth. To make it worse, he has no idea which of those options he'd prefer.
