But with Morgana looking at her like she hung the planets, Gwen couldn’t help but keep rambling. “We’d get a huge hotel with floor-to-ceiling glass windows with a view of the river and we can wake up lazily and alone and I could kiss you with no one watching and we’d never have to leave. I’d—”
Morgana jerked forward like she wanted to kiss her but stopped halfway, painfully aware of how public they were. “Please. Please. That’s all I want.”
Gwen dragged Morgana around the table, fitting her hands over her waist, wishing she could stay here forever. “Whatever you want. Wherever you want.”

Merlin slipped around the table, his fingers tightening over the precious metal. Merlin paused before Arthur. His eyes were unreadable but after a moment, they hardened with determination. Arthur breathed out. “Merlin—”
Merlin raised his arms and carefully placed the crown on Arthur’s head. His hands trembled ever so slightly and Arthur had to fight a shiver when he felt cold fingers carefully brush his hair down. The weight was heavier than Arthur remembered.
Merlin’s fingers curled around his ear and then trailed down his jawline before dropping back down. “I’m leaving.”

Summary
After the defeat of Gabriel Agreste and the disappearance of the mysterious peacock miraculous user, Marinette is left to try her best as Guardian and pick up the pieces. With the kwamis left in hibernation, no leads on the missing peacock miraculous, and no way to contact her beloved partner, she's left to her wit's end on where to proceed.
That is, until the prime suspect of the peacock wielder coincidentally takes up an apprenticeship at her parents' bakery. Adrien Agreste, son of Hawkmoth, has seemingly planted his roots in her home while Marinette was away for an apprenticeship. This could either be a disaster in the making, or the perfect opportunity to retrieve the missing miraculous... either way, it's war.
At least, it would be, if the gosh darn villain weren't so sweet!
