Summary
The song “Burn butcher burn” has a massive and disastrous impact on the life of Geralt of Rivia.
His even more ostracized, despised and singled out. Once again, in everyone's eyes, he’s the Butcher of Blaviken. Convinced that Jaskier hates him irremediably, torn between pain, atrocious guilt and deep anger, Geralt withdraws more and more into himself, until he almost completely disappears.*
Jaskier had composed this song out of rage, motivated both by the desire to hurt and to relieve his suffering. He had sung it many times, without thinking for a single second that it would make such an impact. Without thinking about how quickly it was spreading throughout the realms or the consequences. At first he had been pettily satisfied with it.
But when an innkeeper tells him with satisfaction that he chased away the evil witcher by teaching him a good lesson, when he receives pats on the back congratulating him on the disappearance of the butcher of Blaviken, Jaskier understands the extent of the disaster. Desperate, he sets off in search of the witcher.*
