Summary
A Jumpchain story.
Delaine, the Jumper, has been around for a long time. Too long, maybe. So maybe this adventure with the Doctor will be their last one. Who knows? If nothing else, they'll be trying to take it easy... if only the Doctor would get that memo and stop getting into so much trouble... and stop asking so many inconvenient questions.
(The Doctor, for his part, would like to know why his new companion is so Odd. And he won't stop asking until he figures out the entire puzzle - whether she likes it or not.)
Long fic, self-insert, powerful protagonist, experiments with non-linear storytelling. Part of a series but intended to be written so it can stand on its own. Focused on character interactions. (In-Universe) Why did I come up with all of these people? Better question, how did I end up in charge of them? And where did I get this misplaced sense of responsibility for their well-being?
Oh, yeah. Probably because I’m the one who came up with most of their problems in the first place. Ah, well, welcome to the club of people in over their heads.(Out of Universe) Me and my closest friend take on a One Piece-sized task of rewriting a bunch old fic I never finished and seeing it to the end this time around. Feat. a buttload of OCs, original story plots, and me trying my best to develop good writing habits using characters and concepts I came up with over the course of about ten years.

It’s quiet, when she ducks her way inside, and utterly devoid of business. She guesses the lack of patrons isn’t too surprising when it’s the middle of the day and the place is literally called the Rip-Off Bar.
