It's almost a year since the events of Shibuya, and Kento is still finding it hard to escape the horrors of the day he almost died. Lucky for him, he has his supportive husband, Satoru, who's always there to pull him back from the edge and chase the shadows away.
Kento’s back in Shibuya. He’s engulfed in scorching flames. They lick up the left side of his torso, incinerating his shirt and eating away at his flesh. He opens his mouth to scream, but no sound comes out. Hoards of transfigured humans rush at him and Mahito’s maniacal laugh echoes through the subway. The sound of a door lock clicking in place and the patter of claws on wooden flooring join the chorus, and wait… that isn’t right.
“—we’re home.”
Home? The scene ripples for a moment, but then the flames burn brighter, hotter, and his skin is melting. Kento screams, then, as terror grips his soul tightly in its cruel grasp.

Neuvillette knocked himself out of his own pleasant memories by carelessly spilling some of his water onto his lap, he sighed it really wasn’t like him to be so careless. He placed his goblet on his desk and stood to assess the damage, he had spilled it on his trousers and he could feel the fabric sticking to his skin. Neuvillette was really more upset about losing some of his water imported from Mondstadt, he went to draw on his power to draw the hydro out of his pants but something felt wrong.
Something was off, his legs started to feel like jelly. His clothing ripped as his legs came together, scales started to form up his legs. Neuvillette tried to pull on his power to stop whatever was happening. His body seemed not to care for his commands as his legs formed a tail and he could feel more scales itch along his body. He could feel fins along his arms and one on his back as well but they seemed flexible enough not to tear through his shirt, his gloves had torn however from sharp claws cutting through the ends of them. Neuvillette removed his gloves to get a better look at them and scales had also formed there.
What in the world was happening to him?

It wasn’t a question, but Tsumiki shrugs and answers, “I don’t know. I thought only adults could get those.”
Satoru looks towards Megumi. He thinks of the hours he’s spent in the exact same predicament, memories stretching as far back as his mind will allow. He has yet to determine whether his recurring migraines are a side effect of his cursed technique or an entirely separate phenomenon, but he’s stopped caring about the semantics at this point. The cause doesn’t matter much when the blinding pain behind his eyes settles in, rendering him unable to do much apart from hide away and wait it out.
“Kids can get migraines too,” he assures Tsumiki. “I get them sometimes, and I have for as long as I can remember.”
