Greg has been seeing ghosts and hearing voices. He doesn't remember the last time he's felt warm - the last time he's felt anything, really - and he's not sure how much longer he'll last like this.
(Reichenbach was an ordeal of mess and miscommunication, and it resulted in so much unnecessary damage to everyone's relationships. Thankfully, Sherlock's learnt his lesson this time around - he's taken John with him. Problem is: he's failed to predict just how badly their conjoined disappearance would be taken - especially by Greg. When they return, it becomes clear the DCI didn't really cope at all.)

Summary
The sharp, bitter flavour of coffee jolted them from their reverie.
Blinking, they felt their mind click and whir, settling into place. Colour seemed to seep back into the room, painting their world in murky browns and dirty greys. The television was on, an episode of some kids series playing at low volume. Swirling the dark coffee in their mug, they watched as the wispy smoke rose up from the rim.
The clock ticked.
Anderson is a human. Sort of.
They want to survive in their job, especially after all that business with Sherlock's Fall (they're still surprised they got their job back but they have a feeling it has something to do with Greg) and that
dubiously consensualaffair with Donovan that they never want to relive.Unfortunately, illicit affairs are the least of their worries when no one around them is human. And none of them know each other are Other. And Anderson is the only one that can see that. And they lost their meds that help them not see that.
This will be hell, won't it?
