By far one of the best fics I've ever read. Redbird's prose pierces through the reader's heart like a goddamn arrow-- that is, it's fatally good. Every single chapter seems to encapsulate its own theme, each of which builds cohesively into a whole, and the emotional depths that it plunges are absolutely breathtaking. Profundity in the most minute details, and poignancy that demands reread after reread. Without risking spoiling the plot, I'll say that the trajectory of Nell and Arthur's relationship through this story is absolutely riveting, and that the two have a chemistry and tenderness to them that defies description. This fic is best read straight through, and then immediately revisited. There are details in this work that stand out like gold dust in a river.

Fucking amazing fic. The smut in this is electrifying, and I absolutely loved watching Nathalie and Arthur's interactions progress through phases as distinct as phases of the moon, deepening and complicating and developing between them an emotional richness that's incredibly satisfying to read. The prose flows beautifully, the landscape descriptions could break your heart. The members of the gang are also characterized incredibly well, and they're also lent a complexity that I've seldom seen in other fics. I've reread this one over and over again, and it never fails to satisfy.

Your eyes snap open, and you wrap your arm around him and press your hand tightly to his back, holding him and squeezing your bodies close together once again.
“I won’t,” you whisper ardently. “Not ever.”Reader struggles with severe body image issues and low self-worth and loves Arthur but is convinced he's too good for her. Arthur does his best to comfort her and set her straight.
