sigh.
it is good that i stopped reading this fic back when i was younger. i wouldn't have understood it. i remember thinking it was too much, too toxic, stressing.
now ive reread it and i can appreciate it way more than i couldve back then.
god. what a story.
its so twisted-- the unhealthy relationship tag is absolutely real in this. both harry and tom are so toxic to each other. it was such an experience reading this. i dont-- i dont entirely know what to feel, now that ive read it. at least i can see now why this one is such a popular work. jesus.
harry wasnt any better. he was the same as tom, albeit differently. god. they were both each other's chains in this.
im gonna be thinking of this fic for a while, i think. idk, finishing it-- i dont dislike it, but i dont wholly love this fic either. i think im more... glad that it's over. what a journey. rollecoaster of feelings. damn
they were both so cruel to each other. damn. what a fic. damn.
im still glad i had the opportunity to read it. it definitely gives me perspective. what a fic. i would go on describing what happened here but to be honest, i think id rather let this fic go. its definitely put me in a mood after finishing it. not bad, just contemplative. got me sitting here and thinking about nothing and everything. damn.

Summary

good, soft, abused tom. he's shy and traumatised. was close to becoming obscurial.
last chapter harry tells tom he from different dimension and they ready themselves to go kill basiliskletting this one marinate.

truthfully i had completely forgotten about this fic, despite getting emails all the time. well, the other day i was going thru my bookmarks as i often do, looking for smth i’ve been marinating, and seen this.glad i read it. it’s actually such a cozy fic. the ending really made me content. god.
basically, what happened in this universe is that dumbledore when he meets tom in the orphanage, takes him away, since he’s nearly becoming an obscurus. once he does that, voldemort never comes to pass. for this reason, since fate has to keep timeline as usual (basically canon needs to happen) what happens is tom gets the whole boy who lived thing, but it’s not really as much as it was for harry. he kills grindelwald, becomes MoD, gets with harry.
honestly i loved this entire fic, its so deliciously different than the usual. and no stress while reading. voldemort dies in the og world too, and i loved how it wasn’t the main focus.
overall genuinely this fic was great. i’m gonna miss it. ❤️
