Hades stepped forward, his presence almost suffocating now. “Go to Tartarus. Find the source of the flood and restore order. The monsters down there have been affected. They no longer remember who they were - what they were. It is my responsibility, but I cannot - ”
“ - go yourself,” Nico finished, the words hanging between them. There it was again, that ever-present feeling of being an afterthought. Of being the one who had to carry the weight, no matter how heavy.
Hades didn’t answer, but his silence was enough. He didn’t need to say anything more.
“Fine,” Nico muttered, unable to hold back the surge of frustration. “I’ll do it. But don’t expect me to fix everything.”

“Do you have somewhere to go?”
Regulus looked down at the locket resting on the table like a loaded gun.
“No,” he said softly. “Not anymore.”
Petunia stood and moved to the sink, rinsing dishes that didn’t need rinsing. She kept her back to him.
“You can stay until you’ve healed,” she said. “But then you have to leave. I won’t get tangled in your war.”“I understand.”
She turned. “I mean it.”
“I know,” he said, with a sad, almost fond smile. “You’re very good at meaning things.”
She didn’t return the smile. But her voice was quieter when she spoke again.
“My sister made the flowers bloom once, when we were little. I remember thinking it was the most beautiful thing I’d ever seen.”
“And now?”
Petunia looked at the vase again. The air felt heavier somehow, but softer too.
“Now I know they die anyway.”

Summary
Contrary to current circumstances, Tim knows how dangerous the League is. He knows that if he joins, he will be taunting death every day and there will come a day where they’ll order him to kill someone. Which is why he decided not to join as a ninja.
Just like any other organisation or business, the League has departments. There’s the IT department, the finance department, operations and strategy, member training, and of course leadership and directorship.
But one thing Tim noticed while lightly cyberstalking the League is that they lack an HR department.

or: after being sent to train in france, tim uses the opportunity to learn and train with the league of assassins. but even he’s not reckless enough to join as a ninja, so he joins as the head of human resources. because that’s totally a reasonable thing to do.
and who knows, maybe he’ll pick up a brother or two along the way.
