The opening notes of the piano starts to waft in through the closed doors. Pran exhales out a tiny scoff with a shake of his head. He still cannot believe that he agreed to this. Damn Pat and his cheesy reasonings on why this had to be their walk in song. He is glad he at least remained firm in choosing an instrumental cover instead of the original song.

How should they define the relationship between them? Is there even a word to describe it? Is there a word in any language in the world that can come close to naming what they are?
The silence drags on, and Pran is so attuned to the way Pat’s eyes flickers across his face. He sees the way a gradual resolution and determination grows on Pat’s face. Pran slowly gears himself up for the reply that is coming his way. And then it comes, in a soft exhale from trembling lips.

Pat and Pran have to do a dissection as part of their biology practical. But how can they complete the worksheet when Pat does not want to do the dissection. Can they find a solution?

“You’re blind,” Derek said flatly, the anger draining from him so suddenly he felt almost woozy. His vision cleared, his claws sliding back into blunt fingernails.

“Just, wait.” Derek interrupted what was apparently the start of a convincing argument as to why he should rob the kid after all, feeling his head start to spin. “This is — it’s a misunderstanding. I’m — I’m not robbing you. You’re — you’re safe, okay? I’m taking three steps back. Just — just let me explain.”
“Explain why you came busting into my apartment? Yeah, go right ahead, man, I can’t wait to hear this epic tale.”

On his way to visit some clients, the ferry Pran is supposed to take across to the island is delayed, leaving him stuck on his motorbike with storm clouds brewing on the horizon. The car parked next to him is a corvette, its bright orange colour stands out vividly against the muted colours of the vehicles around it. When the rain finally falls, the corvette's driver offers Pran shelter and, against his better judgement, he accepts.
